Fall Classes 2015

Hello there, and welcome to the start of school season. I hope everyone is off to a great start. I am teaching again! Yesssss! And very happy to do so. Classes will be a little different this fall. No more teaching out of my Santa Cruz studio. I will be teaching in Aptos again, right next door to Aptos Street BBQ. 8061 Aptos Street Aptos, CA 95003 to be exact. Some of you have been to this location before, when I was teaching here a couple years ago. It is a bright and beautiful place. Starting on September 28, classes will be held every Monday there starting in the morning for pre k and Kindergartners and onto the afternoon for elementary ages. I am so happy to be teaching again. Did I say this already?

I will also be posting my workshops schedule that will be held on the weekends starting in October. Many of these will be canvas or holiday inspired, a good way to do some art on the side if you are too busy during the week.

FALL INTO WINTER CLASS SCHEDULE

September 28th -December 21st (No class November 23rd)

All classes will be held every Monday for 12 weeks. The Schedule is as follows:

MIXED MEDIA FOR THE LITTLES we will be working primarily in oil pastel, watercolor and tempera paint on fine paper. Artists will start and finish a painting in each class. We will be doing a variety of subjects including seasonal fruits, flowers, and many animals. We will also paint one 9x12 canvas using acrylic paints.
9am-10am Pre k/kindergarten
11:30am-12:30pm Pre k/kindergarten

Price: $240. For all 12 classes
Payment options:
If paid in full on or before September 28th= $216. (10% discount)
If paid in 2 payments of $114. Each on or before September 28 & November 9th= $228. (5% discount)
If paid in 3 payments of $80. Each on or before September 28th, October 26th, and November 30th= $240.
All prices include materials.

SMALL WONDERS FOR THE ELEMENTARY AGE and BEYOND
We will be working primarily in watercolor and gouache, colored pencils and pen & ink on a smaller scale. Unlike the 60 minute classes, artists are encouraged to take their time looking at their subject and focusing on details. Sometimes artists will not finish within each class but the process time is worth it. Artists will be working with many real specimens or subject matter and paint on hot press Arches paper. We will be doing a variety of subjects including seasonal seeds, fruit and flowers for October. Birds, eggs and nests during November and Winter subjects such as berries, pinecones and trees for December.
2:30pm-4pm 6-9 year olds
4:15pm-5:45pm 8+ years

Price: $420. For all 12 classes
Payment options:
If paid in full on or before September 28th=$378. (10% discount)
If paid in 2 payments of $199.50 on or before Spetember 28 & November 9th=$399. (5% discount)
If paid in 3 payments of $140. On or before September 28th, October 26th, and November 30th=$420.
All prices include materials.

Please feel free to bring a healthy snack with water along for your child to have during our 90 minute classes. There will be a designated snack time at the beginning of the class so it does not interfere with materials. There will not be a snack time for our 60 minute classes because time is shorter, so please make sure artists are prepared to work before they get to class. Of course, if a child gets thirsty or starving during/after our project time, they will not be refused food or water if they bring it.
Blue Apple Studios is designed as a drop off studio, so please talk with your child before signing up and make sure you are both okay with being away from each other for the time of class. You will be amazed at what you get to see when you pick your child up!
