September :
9.2-4: Mosaic Animals 10am-1pm *3 days
Full of excitement! Artists will get to work with stained glass pieces to design and make their own stained glass mosaic animal of choice. Perfect for inside or outside. Finished pieces may be hung with wire attached to them or staked in the ground outside.
$175.
9.8: Wooden Scrap Wood Owls 4-7pm
Artists will chose different shapes of new and recycled wood and smaller detail pieces to make their own owls. Details might be made from driftwood, metal objects, feathers, buttons and more. We will also be painting and doing some decopauging as well.
$75. Includes Pizza dinner (this is our inspiration for it)
9.16: Fruit Color Study 9am-12pm
Apples, pears, lemons, avocados….artists will be drawing fruit in a modern, almost cubic style. They will each get to choose 3 fruits to draw and paint with gouache or acrylic. And then they will shade them in sections to show primary, complementary, and tertiary colors. A great way to color study and have fun at the same time. Artists will come away with 3 finished paintings on arches watercolor paper.

9.17: Rustic Birdhouses 1pm-4pm
Prebuilt sides, artists will come in and paint their birdhouses and design them with different architectural pieces. Metal roof, door knobs, finials, and so much more to chose from. Just in time for winter. (please note: these ones we did in the past are more like bird mansions! We will be scaling down the size slightly for this upcoming workshop)

9.22: Awesome Driftwood Lantern Fish Lamps 4pm-7pm
Artists will paint and add various details to their fish and attach them to a wooden base with a small metal dowel. Then we will attach a light bulb with wire on it to their fish to make it a working lamp. Artists come away with an cool looking lamp with a switch attached to the cord. (This is our inspiration)

9.29: Haunted Houses 4pm-7:30pm
One of the very best workshops that has ever gone down in Blue Apple history! Artists will paint their own wooden haunted houses, and add scary trees, bats and stuffed felt ghosts around. AND, they will light up! If you have taken our gingerbread house workshop, it is very similar in idea.
$150. Includes Haunted Pizza too!
October:
10.1: Haunted Houses Part 2 1pm-5pm
Same as 9.29 offered at different time. See above for description (doesn’t include dinner)

10.6: Wooden Pumpkins and Black Cats 4pm-7pm
Handmade wooden pumpkins and cats. Each artist will receive 2 pumpkins and one cat to paint any way they wish. Perfect for outside or inside.

10.8: Paper Mache Pumpkins and Cats 1pm-4pm
Artists will receive one pumpkin and one cat to paint and decorate. We will seal them for extra shininess after. Great for all ages! $50.
10.14: Fall Still Life Canvas 1pm-4pm
Inspired by some of the great master’s still life paintings, we will have seasonal fruit, vases of flowers, colored napkins and dishes for artists to set up their own still life to paint. Artists will draw and paint their still life on a 16x20 canvas using acrylic paint.(these were from a spring still life set up)

10.21: Corrugated Metal Ghosts 1pm-4pm
Each artist will get 3 corrugated metal ghosts to paint and make spooky! Ghosts can be hung with wire or secured to a base to be inside or outside.

*It is recommended and appreciated that artists bring in their own healthy snacks for all workshops they are attending. Blue apple studios policy: All workshops require a $50.00 deposit per workshop in order to get a space reserved. The remaining balance is due in full the first day of the workshop. All deposits are nonrefundable. If a student notifies BAS of their inability to attend 2 weeks prior to the workshop, the deposit may be transferable to another workshop. Cancellations made within the 2-week period result in a loss of deposit. There are no cash refunds. There are no make-ups for workshops. If there are less than 5 students signed up for a workshop, BAS reserves the right to cancel that workshop, in this case, your deposits may be transferable to other workshops.
